The Buffalo Bills may have seen their seven-game winning streak end last week against the Los Angeles Rams, but quarterback Josh Allen likely took a step toward winning NFL MVP. Allen became the first quarterback since Cleveland’s Otto Graham in 1954 to pass and run for three touchdowns apiece in a game. Allen’s MVP odds on FanDuel moved from -250 to -450 (bet $450 to win $100).
A look at the MVP race entering Week 15:
JOSH ALLEN
Bills | QB
HIS CASE: The case is simple – just turn on the video from Allen’s tour-de-force performance against the Rams. He rushed for a season-high 82 yards; his previous high was 55 against Kansas City in Week 12. He threw for a season-high 342 yards; his previous high was 323 against Tennessee in Week 7. The three rushing touchdowns were a career-high, and he posted his 26th regular-season game of at least three touchdown passes.

SAQUON BARKLEY
Philadelphia | RB
HIS CASE: Save for Detroit, Philadelphia is the league’s hottest team, with a nine-game winning streak, and Barkley has been the offensive catalyst. He rushed 20 times for 124 yards in last week’s win over Carolina, his fourth consecutive game with at least 20 attempts and 107 yards. If he reaches 2,000 yards in a 17-game season, it should get him all of the second-place votes behind Allen. Barkley leads the NFL with 1,623 yards, well ahead of Baltimore’s Derrick Henry at 1,407.

LAMAR JACKSON
Baltimore | QB
HIS CASE: His quest for a third MVP award (and second straight) is likely over. The Bills are 7-1 in their last eight, the Eagles have won nine straight and the Lions 10 straight. The Ravens, meanwhile, are 1-2 in their last three and 3-3 in their last six. Jackson hasn’t had a 300-yard passing game since Week 5.

JARED GOFF
Detroit | QB
HIS CASE: Sunday’s game against Allen and the Bills will be Goff’s final stand to move up the MVP charts. Being the quarterback on a team that could finish 15-2 or even 16-1 allows Goff to be a consideration. In the last four games, he has nine touchdowns and one interception, and in seven home games this year, he has 15 touchdowns and four interceptions, along with a 6-1 home record.
