Disney on Ice: 'Into the Magic'

Mickey and Minnie Mouse will bring audiences on an expedition featuring characters from "Moana," "Frozen," "Coco" and more this weekend at the Upstate Medical Arena in Syracuse.

Disney on Ice will present "Into the Magic" at the arena at the Oncenter War Memorial, 800 S. State St., Syracuse. Showtimes are:

• 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26
• Noon and 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27
• 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28
• Noon and 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29

Pre-New Year's Eve Party with Psychedelic Sushi

Local jam rock band Psychedelic Sushi will perform a Pre-New Year's Eve Party from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, at Moondog's Lounge, 24 State St., Auburn.

The band plays heavily improvised versions of songs by Phish, the Grateful Dead, Led Zeppelin and more.

There is no cover charge, but seats can be reserved for $10.

Hot Chocolate Hikes

The Sterling Nature Center will end the year with a pair of Hot Chocolate Hike days from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 28 and 29.聽

The center is located at 15730 Jensvold Road, Sterling. Warm cups of hot chocolate will be available to all who take a winter hike there this weekend.

Admission to the center is free and open to the public.

New Year's Eve dinner and music

Potters Farm to Fork in Port Byron will host a New Year's Eve dinner featuring music by Austin and Kevin Barrigar on Tuesday, Dec. 31.

The dinner begins at 4 p.m. and includes prime rib, surf and turf, lobster tails and more. Music begins at 5 p.m.

The restaurant is located at 1951 Route 31 in Port Byron.

New Year's Eve Party

Britches' Dance Bar in Auburn will host its third annual New Year's Eve Party from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31.

Hosted by DJ Bizznez of The Frank White Experience, the party will feature hip-hop artists Anthony Kannon, Vinny "Vintage" Freeman, MBK Richy, Big Sexy and Def-One.

There is a $10 cover, which includes a champagne toast. The bar is located at 192 State St., Auburn.
