Auburn native Tim Locastro had a historic night in his return to the big leagues.聽
Locastro, who was called up by the Arizona Diamondbacks Friday, was hit by a pitch three times in the Diamondbacks' 18-2 win over the San Francisco Giants. That ties a single-game major league record held by several players, including Mel Ott and Manny Ramirez.聽
The last time a player was hit by a pitch three times in a game was May 16, 2017, when then-Seattle Mariners outfielder Jarrod Dyson was plunked three times. Dyson is now Locastro's teammate with the Diamondbacks.聽
Locastro has been hit by a pitch seven times in limited action with the Diamondbacks this season, tying him for fourth in MLB.聽

While he was hit by a few pitches, Locastro contributed in other ways. He had a two-out, two-run single in the fourth inning. It's his first career major league runs batted in.聽
