Union Springs girls basketball only allowed 5 points following the first quarter on Tuesday in its 68-18 home win over Groton.
The Wolves took a 15-point lead after the opening frame and never looked back.
Jennifer Daum had a game-high 27 points and nine rebounds, while Allie Parker finished with 10 points and nine rebounds. Ainsley Biter and Madison Kalet had 9 points each and combined for 12 of Union Springs’ 20 assists.
Amelia Schwarting concluded with 8 points and five rebounds.

Jordan-Elbridge 100, Fabius Pompey 40:Â The Eagles dropped in 26 points in each of the first three quarters on Monday to overwhelm the Falcons en route to the 60-point rout at home. Nolan Brunelle led the team in the victory with a game-high 28 points. Preston Murray scored 17 points, while Chase Brunelle ended with 15.

Weedsport 57, LaFayette 37: The Wolverines held the Lancers to just 3 second-quarter points on Tuesday in their 57-37 win at home. Weedsport jumped out to an early lead by outscoring LaFayette 31-10 in the first half. Keegan McNabb led the squad in the victory with a team-high 15 points. Kayla Flask dropped in 14 points while Mallory Brown had 8. Anna Kershner and Ayla Stark finished with 7 and 6 points, respectively.Â

Auburn (boys) 7, Liverpool 0: Auburn (girls) 7, Liverpool 0: Marissa Capone had a game-high score of 544 as the girl Maroons were victorious on Tuesday at home. Grace Ryan posted a 442 while Abbey Bragger ended with a 408. Miley Curtis concluded with a 382. Eric Barski led the boys in their win with a game-high 691. Aiden Starratt and Lucas McConnell tallied scores of 647 and 615, respectively. Jack Sliwka totaled a score of 572.Â
Auburn (boys) 7, Syracuse City 0; Auburn (girls) 7, Syracuse City 0:Â Barski posted a game-high 727 on Monday in the boy Maroons' victory at home. Sliwka finished with a score of 641, while Starratt ended with a 597. McConnell and Caleb Pidlypchak concluded with scores of 575 and 546, respectively. In the girls' victory, Capone tallied a game-high 573. Ryan totaled a 535, while Bragger recorded a 426. Quinn Wejko and Julia Church finished with scores of 330 and 298, respectively.Â
Union Springs/Port Byron: Matthew Howell ended with a team-high 603 on Monday as the boy Wolves took one point at home against Candor. Dylan Howell posted a 593, while Matthew Smead racked up a 545. For the girls, Jenna Jump and Caroline Smead tallied scores of 519 and 515, respectively.
