More than two weeks before Election Day, in-person voting begins this weekend in Cayuga County.聽
The nine-day early voting period will give eligible Cayuga County voters the first opportunity to cast their ballots in person.聽
When is early voting?聽
This year, early voting begins Saturday and continues through Sunday, Nov. 3.聽
The times vary by day. For the four early voting locations in Cayuga County, the polls will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, noon to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Friday.聽
Where can I vote early?
The Cayuga County Board of Elections added an early voting location to accommodate the high turnout expected during the presidential election.聽

The new voting center will be located at Fingerlakes Mall in Aurelius. The polling location will occupy the former Jo-Ann Fabric store, which is now the mall's conference center.聽
Three other voting sites will be open during early voting: Clifford Park in Auburn, the Cato Municipal Building and Moravia Town Hall.聽
What else should I know?聽
If you cast your ballot during early voting, you will not be allowed to vote on Election Day, which is Tuesday, Nov. 5.聽
The early votes won't be counted until after the polls close on election night. The early voting ballots are among the first ballots counted by the elections board.聽
