Two people are injured, one with extreme burns, after an explosion and fire at a house in the town of Conquest late Monday.
The house, located at 9625 Stickles Lane, is a total loss, Conquest Fire Company Chief Jim Burke told мÓƶà¶à¿ª½±¼Ç¼. Nothing else in the area was damaged by the explosion, he added.
Investigators were still at the scene as of 10:15 a.m. Tuesday trying to determine the cause of the explosion, Burke said.Â
The two people injured were the occupants of the house, he said. The person with extreme burns was airlifted to a hospital by Mercy Flight, and the other person's injuries were minor.Â
The fire took about 90 minutes to extinguish, Burke said. The Conquest Fire Company was assisted by departments from Port Byron, Montezuma and Cato, as well as Auburn, Fair Haven and Lakeshore Volunteer ambulance services. New York State Police and RG&E were also at the scene, officials told мÓƶà¶à¿ª½±¼Ç¼.
