The Buffalo Bills used their dime defense quite a bit Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks.
Christian Benford, Rasul Douglas and Taron Johnson each played 48 defensive snaps in a 31-10 win at Lumen Field. That was 94% of the defensive total, with each taking the final series off with the game in hand. Cam Lewis played 22 snaps, which was 43% of the total.
The biggest reason for that was the lopsided nature of the score.
Johnson led the defense with eight tackles, while Douglas had six, including one for a loss, and Benford added four. Lewis had four tackles and one pass defensed. Collectively, the Bills allowed just one play of 20 yards thanks to the production from the dime defensive scheme.

2. Amari Cooper doubled his workload. Cooper played 19 snaps in his first game with the Bills against Tennessee in Week 7. He doubled his total to 38 snaps against the Seahawks (50%). Statistically, however, he had a quiet game with just one catch for 3 yards on two targets.

Quote of the game
鈥淐oming in all week, we knew it was going to be loud, and our main goal was to start fast and keep the crowd quiet. It鈥檚 a testimony to our coaches, our staff for getting us ready because this is one of the stadiums that I hadn鈥檛 played in, so I didn鈥檛 know what to expect. I鈥檓 glad that we handled our business, so we didn鈥檛 have to worry about the 12th man.鈥 鈥 Left tackle Dion Dawkins
