ITT, a manufacturer based in Seneca Falls, will invest $85 million to improve three facilities with support from the state's economic development agency.聽
Most of the planned investment will be at Goulds Pump in Seneca Falls, where ITT will spend $72.5 million over the next five years. The project will create up to 45 new jobs.聽
ITT will also invest $11 million for improvements to its Enidine facility in Orchard Park, where 25 new jobs will be created, and $1.5 million at Embedded Motor Drive in the town of DeWitt, Onondaga County. That project will create up to five new jobs.聽
The projects will include facility upgrades, equipment and machinery and other improvements to boost operations.
"ITT has a long, successful history of value creation, job creation and community partnership in New York state," said Bartek Makowiecki, senior vice president, chief strategy officer and president, industrial process, at ITT. "Notably, we celebrated Goulds Pumps' 175th anniversary in Seneca Falls last year and we recently opened our EMD facility in (DeWitt).聽

Empire State Development will provide up to $3.25 million through the Excelsior Jobs program, which provides tax credits to firms that meet certain job creation goals.聽
Hope Knight, president, CEO and commissioner of Empire State Development, said her agency is committed to growing manufacturing in New York.聽
"This project represents another big win for the upstate economy, furthering New York's position as a global hub for the businesses and technologies that are powering the 21st century," Knight added.聽
ITT has approximately 850 employees in New York, including 620 in Seneca Falls.聽
