Now with Amari Cooper on the field for the Bills, the calculus changes for any defensive coordinator who might get sick of giving up 4, 5 or 6 yards on the ground. The Bills have a downfield threat and a player who can better get open against man-to-man coverage. Cooper is really good at intermediate and downfield routes.
Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane said Wednesday that he had a number of conversations with the Cleveland Browns about wide receiver Amari Cooper. The Bills and Browns agreed to a trade on Tuesday afternoon, but Beane felt confident prior to that.
